Toshe Ishq (Your Love, O Lord) -Poetry

Kya talash karun jo tu paas che,
(Why should I search when You are so near?)
Har dukh, har sukoon sirf tere saath che,
(Every pain, every peace is only with You.)
Gumaan ki raahoon manz kho gaya tha,
(I was lost in the roads of doubt,)
Teri rehmat manz sab kuch mil gaya che.
(But in Your mercy, I found everything.)

Toshe ishq, zindagi chhu toske,
(Your love is what makes life worth living.)
Dil ha zarra, tu chhu noor-e-aflaak,
(My heart is just dust, but You are the celestial light.)
Tu manz doobun, tu manz jeevun,
(In You, I drown, in You, I live.)
Duniya che fani, tu chhu la-fani.
(The world is temporary, but You are eternal.)

Har aasman se ooncha tera jalwa,
(Your radiance is higher than all the skies.)
Har be-sukooni ka sirf tu halwa,
(You are the only remedy for every unrest.)
Meri har saans tujh se raushan che,
(My every breath shines because of You.)
Teri yaad manz rooh behishtan che.
(In Your remembrance, my soul finds paradise.)

Mann raat andheri, par tu roshni,
(My heart was a dark night, but You are the light.)
Main bekaar tha, tu che manzil ki raah,
(I was lost, but You are the path to the destination.)
Tu jo chho le, sab kuch naya che,
(Whatever You touch, becomes new again.)
Ishq tera har dukh ka saaya che.
(Your love is the shade for every sorrow.)

Toshe mehboob, be-wafa duniya ha,
(O my Beloved, this world is unfaithful.)
Par tu che wafa, har dum sada ha,
(But You are the only one who is eternally faithful.)
Ya Ilahi, rooh ha sirf tere haath,
(O Allah, my soul is only in Your hands.)
Duniya che khaak, tu che meri baat.
(The world is mere dust, but You are my everything.)

The world is mere dust, but You are my everything, which emphasizes complete devotion to Allah

Elderly & Forgotten – An Old Man Left Alone by His Family"

Aging is a natural part of life, yet for many elderly people, it comes with loneliness, abandonment, and heartbreak. In a world where parents sacrifice everything to raise their children, it is painful to see them neglected when they need support the most.

Uncle Abdul Rahman, an elderly man who dedicated his life to providing for his children, only to be left alone in his old age. His story is not just one of pain but also of faith, patience, and the hope that Allah never abandons His servants.

Interview with Uncle Abdul Rahman (A Father Left Alone in Old Age)

1. Can you tell us about your life before your children grew up?
"I worked hard all my life. I was a simple shopkeeper, earning just enough to educate my children and give them a better future. I never bought luxuries for myself—only for them. My wife and I used to dream about the days when they would grow up, succeed, and take care of us."

2. What happened when your children became independent?
"At first, everything seemed normal. They got married, moved to different cities, and got busy with their lives. I understood that they had responsibilities. But slowly, the calls became less frequent. The visits stopped. And one day, I realized—I was alone."

3. Do they provide for you financially?
"They send money sometimes, but what use is money when there is no love? I don’t want their money; I want their time, their presence. I want to sit with them, hear their voices, feel that I am still their father."

4. How did this affect your emotions?
"It feels like a slow death. Imagine dedicating your whole life to someone, and when you finally need them, they are nowhere to be found. It’s a pain that words cannot describe. I sit alone in this empty house, remembering the days when their laughter filled the rooms."

5. Did you try reaching out to them?
"Yes, many times. I call them, but they are always ‘too busy.’ They say, ‘We will visit soon,’ but that ‘soon’ never comes. I have stopped expecting anything now."

6. How do you spend your days now?
"I go to the masjid, read the Quran, and sit in the park watching people. Sometimes, I talk to strangers just to feel like someone is listening. My heart still hopes that one day my children will remember me."

7. What keeps you strong despite everything?
"Allah. When the world forgets you, Allah never does. I remind myself of the hadith where the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
‘Allah says: I am with My servant as long as he remembers Me.’ That gives me peace."

8. What advice do you have for children who neglect their parents?
"Remember that life is a cycle. One day, you will be old too. The way you treat your parents will come back to you. If you abandon them today, your own children might abandon you tomorrow."

9. What would you say to other elderly people who feel forgotten?
"Turn to Allah. People may leave you, but He never will. Find comfort in worship, spend time with good company, and never lose hope. And if possible, forgive those who hurt you—it will lighten your heart."

10. What is your final message to society?
"Take care of your elders before it’s too late. Don’t wait for their funeral to regret not spending time with them. Love them while they are alive, visit them, talk to them. Because once they are gone, you will never get another chance."

Conclusion

Uncle Abdul Rahman’s story is one of sacrifice, pain, and resilience. Unfortunately, his experience is not unique—many elderly parents are left alone after giving their lives for their children.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) emphasized the importance of parents:
“May his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust, may his nose be rubbed in dust—whoever finds his parents, one or both, in their old age, and does not enter Paradise by serving them.” (Muslim)

Let this be a reminder to all of us: Honor your parents, cherish them, and never let them feel forgotten. Because one day, we will be in their place.

Clinging to Faith When Everything Seems to Be Going Against You

Clinging to Faith When Everything Seems to Be Going Against You

Have you ever felt like the world is closing in on you, that no matter how much you try, relief seems far away ?

Introduction

The test of life, and as Muslims, we are destined to go through challenges that put our faith, patience, and perseverance to the test. There are times when it seems like everything is going against us—be it personal struggles, societal stress, or emotional turmoil. But Islam gives us the means to remain strong and be true to our faith even during the worst of times.

Understanding the Test of Life

God (SWT) reminds us in the Quran:

"Do the people think that they will be left to say, 'We believe,' and they will not be tried?" (Quran 29:2)

Trials are part of life and a way by which Allah tests our faith. Rather than being weighed down, we must look at them as a chance to come closer to Him. Each adversity we bear patiently reaps tremendous rewards in the Hereafter.

 A Woman's Struggle and Strength

The soft light of a bedside lamp flickers. AISHA, a young mother in her late twenties, sits on the floor, knees to her chest. Her toddler sleeps in the crib next to her. The unpaid bills litter the table. Tears stream down her face as she gazes at the ceiling, muttering a silent prayer.

AISHA (whispering, broken voice)

Ya Allah. I don't know how much more I can take.

She dries her tears and picks up the Quran on her nightstand. Her hands shake as she opens it. She recites, voice quivering but genuine. The words have a soothing effect on her.

DAWN: Aisha wakes up for Tahajjud, placing her forehead against the prayer mat. Her quiet duas echo the silence.

DAYTIME: She works steadfastly, caring for her child, trying to make ends meet.

EVENING: Recites Quran, the tired look in her eyes but resolve in her heart.

MIDNIGHT: She is praying in sujood, with her eyes squeezed shut as tightly as possible and praying with utmost sincerity.

 LATER

Days are turned into weeks. Aisha is patient. Gradually, things start turning around. Job offer comes into her inbox. Unforeseen assistance comes through a sympathetic neighbor. Her kid laughs more times. Even if her difficulties persist, her soul is in contentment.

AISHA (soft smile and tearful-eyed)

Alhamdulillah…

Aisha's tale is a reminder: no matter what seems against you, Allah's plan is greater. When you cling to faith, He provides an exit from every trial.

How to Secure Faith in Trials

1. Pray to Allah (Salah)

Salah is the ultimate source of peace and intimacy with Allah. Regardless of how tough life becomes, keeping prayers regular helps us find comfort. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would resort to prayer whenever he encountered problems, and he taught us that our power lies in our intimacy with Allah.

2. Make Dua with Sincerity

Dua is a weapon that can transform our situations and calm our hearts. Allah guarantees in the Quran:

"Call upon Me; I will respond to you." (Quran 40:60)

Regardless of how isolated or desperate you are, keep in mind that Allah hears you. Tell Him everything from your heart and request guidance, patience, and strength.

3 Think About the Stories of Prophets and Islamic History

The Quranic stories of Prophets educate us on how they went through huge trials but never faltered in their faith. Prophet Ayyub (AS) went through severe illness, deprivation, and hardship, but never lost hope about Allah's grace. Reading about their trials can motivate us and make us strong.

Another strong example is the trial of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Year of Sorrow (Aam al-Huzn), when he lost his dear wife Khadijah (RA) and his uncle Abu Talib. In spite of immense sorrow, he persisted in his mission with patience and faith in Allah. His unshakeable faith in this trying time is a lesson for all of us.

☺☺Likewise, Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal was jailed and tortured for refusing to back down on the veracity of Islam. Even under harsh conditions, he never faltered in his convictions. His tale reminds us that genuine faith is tried, but the reward for perseverance is great.

4. Surround Yourself with Positive Influences

The individuals surrounding us significantly influence our belief and attitude. Surround yourself with people who inspire you to think of Allah, motivate you to remain resolute, and lift you up during challenging times. If you are down, find solace in good company, Islamic associations, and Internet forums that motivate your soul.

5. Read and Reflect on the Quran

The Quran is a healing source and guide. During times of overwhelm, slow down and read and reflect on its meaning. Verses of patience, hope, and mercy of Allah can offer great relief to a troubled heart.

6. Practice Patience and Gratitude (Sabr and Shukr)

Even during adversity, there are so many blessings surrounding us. Cultivating gratitude shifts our attention from suffering to positivity. Allah has promised great rewards for those who exercise patience:

"Indeed, Allah is with the patient." (Quran 2:153)

Patience and gratitude enhance our faith and make us understand that trials are a way of spiritual development.

Quote

"And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect." (Quran 65:2-3)

This verse reminds us that no matter how bad things get, Allah is working to make a way for us. We simply have to trust Him and be patient.

Conclusion

Having faith when all the odds are against you is tough, but achievable. Islam reminds us of our guidance, hope, and knowledge that Allah does not burden any soul with a responsibility greater than it can endure. Remain strong in your belief, continue to pray, and have faith in Allah's plan always being superior.

Whatever trial you are enduring, keep this in mind: Allah observes your hardship, answers your prayers, and will forever be there to support you.

If you're struggling, don't suffer in silence. Call on a trusted friend, an Islamic scholar, or a supportive community. Share your thoughts in the comments below—what helps you hold onto faith in tough times? Let's support and uplift each other in this journey of faith
